~INDIA~

The Indian cricket team and council should not waste time in attacking individual players. Rather, they should make way for new leadership, may it be foreign or domestic, that can foster collaboration between the Indian players and inspire them to work as a team so that they may realise their true potential.

Being a long-time supporter of Indian cricket, I do feel an Austrailian coach like Greg Chappell would inject new ideas and discipline into our cricket. Unfortunately, Indian cricketers play one superb game and four bad ones. This lack of consistency has to stop. Forthcoming matches should be all played with strategy and commitment. One or two players cannot turn the match around, it has to be a team effort, so you guys get your finger out and justify the support and faith your fans have had in you for so long.

I think more than a coach, Indian cricketers need to practise constantly. They should behave, believe and practice like professionals. Indian board should have a way of monitoring the practice habits of top 50- 100 Indian cricketers so that they don't fall back. There should be rating within Indian players like who is the best in bowling, batting fielding and also rate wicket keepers, all-rounders. Also Indian cricket board can set up regional training facility so that reach is not far. Vivek

Well said Sir! A brilliant summary of the stages Indian cricket has gone through and the stage it is currently at. More than the content of your analysis-which is fairly self-evident albeit to those knowledgeable cricket followers, the style in which your writing has conveyed this analysis is brilliant. Your avoidance of soapy metaphors and exaggerated and unworthy synonyms makes your piece an utterly good read. Again well done.
